Ulysses
Interdisciplinary Study of Directional Discontinuities
in the Solar Wind
Welcome to the home page of the Ulysses Interdisciplary
Study of Directional Discontinuities in the Solar Wind.
The
Belgian Institute for Space Aeronomy (Brussels, Belgium) is involved
in this interdisciplinary study project together with The
Lockheed Martin Space Physics Laboratory, Palo Alto (California,
USA). The goal of this project is to look at plasma discontinuities
in the solar wind at various heliographic latitudes, and to understand
their internal structure and dynamics. Principal investigator is
M. Roth.
The research at the Belgian Institute for Space Aeronomy
is funded by PRODEX. We acknowledge the support of the Belgian Federal
Office for Science and Technology Policy.
