The Venue

The Workshop will be held and hosted by the University of Corte located in the charming town of Corte on the island of Corsica. It is advised to make travel and hotel plans as soon as possible. A limited number of rooms are blocked at several hotels. The alternative is student housing available at the University - small studio with private shower and toilet.

Corte has many nice hotels located in walking distance of the University. Hotels are quickly full in Corte for the summer season. Therefore it is urgent that reservations are made as soon as possible. Some block reservations have been made at local hotels. However, please note that some hotels do not block rooms. If you plan to rent a car or bring your own car there are also hotels located in the Corte surroundings.
  • Accomodation Possibilities (A whole range of accomodations are possible: hotels, furnished private rooms, etc..)
  • Corte Hotel List (Please note that some hotels do not have websites and reservations must be made by telephone.)
  • Hôtel de la Poste (Several rooms still available. However, it is not possible to block rooms. Therefore it is recommended to phone the hotel as soon as possible.)

  • Hôtel du Nord (Several rooms blocked until 31 March 2008)
  • Hôtel de la Paix (A couple of rooms available for the total workshop period. Rooms blocked until 31/03/2008.)
  • Hôtel Sampiero Corso (Several rooms available from the 21 to the 27 June (morning) and from the 28 to the 29 June 2008. If necessary, it is possible to reserve a room at the University "Student Housing" from the 27 to the 28 June 2008. Rooms blocked until 1 May 2008)

Student Housing: 24 MAY 2008 DEADLINE

    The student housing at the University is very nice and is highly recommended. Over the majority of the people who participated in the previous Corte TLE workshop stayed there. The accomodation can be compared to a small studio (each individual room has private shower and toilet). The price per room will be 21 Euro per night. Sheets and towels are included (will be changed once during the week). Breakfast for a fee of 4 Euro is available at the University [please note that the price of the breakfast is 5 Euro and not 4 Euro as was originally quoted].
